Please Note: Unfortunately, there will be no summer workshop in 2010, but we hope to meet again in 2011. At the present time, we're focusing our efforts on the first issue of The Roman Catholic Arts Review, which should be available during the summer of 2010.

THE SOUTHWELL INSTITUTE

The Southwell Institute is a non-profit organization, incorporated 2004, named in honor of St. Robert Southwell, S.J., an Elizabethan priest, poet, and martyr. The mission of the Institute is to promote the Catholic arts, especially the literary arts. Our first objective is the establishment of a summer literary workshop for young, traditionalist Roman Catholics. In the future, we also hope to establish a journal and a press dedicated to the Catholic arts. Our belief is that the arts can both strengthen and rescue souls.
